I Believe

I believe in words.

I believe that fireflies are little signs from our saving grace that true magic is in the smallest things.

I believe that animals, promises, bones and locks should never be broken.
I believe that shadows have names, that song is a language and that the stars are molecules in vast entity far greater that anything we have ever imagined, atoms in a body that belongs to a sentient creature we call the Universe, a being who is subsequently completely oblivious of our existence.

I believe in love.
I believe that you do not need to speak to lie, that you can tell big lies and small lies and unavoidable lies, but that you should never, ever lie to yourself.

I believe that wolves, cats and dolphins know truths that we cannot understand.

I believe that there are few things in the world more powerful than a hug.
I believe that there are few things in the world more dangerous than a dream.

I do not believe in fate. We are the captain of our own paths and dreams.

I believe in hot baths and ice-cream, caffeine and good pillows.
I believe that you can sleep anywhere you like; rooftops, benches, stairwells, under bridges, five-star hotel rooms or the back-seat of a car, but that it wouldn't mean anything if you were sleeping alone.

I believe that stories are more valuable than money, that rain makes me feel safe, and that while sex is great, making love is the real healer.

I believe that a heart does not break; it caves in.

I believe in hope.

I believe that people who write can change the world, and
I believe that both burdens and joys of a life are better shared.
Always.
